Operator Technician

Job Description

Seeking an Operator Technicians with a pathway into becoming a Maintenance Technician. Youll start as a Finish Technician and will be responsible for setting up machines and being the first person to respond to machine malfunctions within a specific department. Youll set up the finishing machines, troubleshoot and repair to an extent, and involve a Maintenance Technician after youve addressed all issues you think it could be. Youll partner with the Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair the issue to grow and advance your skills. Additionally, youll educate and guide other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors and monitor all equipment within this department. Professional communication skills are essential to respond appropriately to radio calls. Equipment includes hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, spray guns/hoses/booths, conveyors/elevators, ovens, sealers/sanders, belts, pulleys, brushes, motors, bearings, valves, rollers, etc. Must have mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of electricity, ability to work overtime and in other areas when needed, and be a logical thinker capable of identifying problems and devising solutions.
