Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This position is a mechanical maintenance role. You will troubleshoot and repair tanks, pumps, agitators, pneumatic conveyors, among others from a mechanical standpoint. You need familiarity with single and three-phase motors and 120-480V from an electrical standpoint. Rewiring motors when necessary is a critical task. A typical day involves receiving work orders from the supervisor and spending 25-35% of the time on preventive maintenance (PM) as opposed to reactive repairs. Common repairs include replacing locked-out pumps and ensuring pneumatic conveyors continue running by unclogging lines and changing filters. PM tasks typically include changing out motors, greasing bearings, and replacing belts.
