ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Abide by all state and federal safety regulations and standards (OSHA, ANSI, Company, Client, etc.) While working in an efficient and productive manner.
Ensure that Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) requirements are identified, documented and followed.
Daily inspection of PPE, OPE, PFAS, & rigging equipment before use.
Observe and report possible compound / equipment defects or hazards.
The buck stops at Crew Lead for all operations on site. He/she is responsible for every task given to each crew member and all materials in truck/trailer. Must be an independent worker and lead by example. Must help all crew members with whatever they need and assist in training all crew members. He/she will direct all crew members on the operations for site project completion. Foreman needs to have a sense of pride in the quality of work, commitment in completing the task on time and budget. He/she must be willing to climb whenever it is necessary.
Daily delegation of cleaning/organization of truck/trailer and restocking material. Safely and efficiently delegate repairs and upgrades at elevated heights. Delegate installation of telecom equipment and materials including mounts, microwaves, radios, antennas and lines on towers and structures.
Accurately follow instructions and complete assigned course of action in accordance with scope of work and methods of procedures.
Interpret various documents (e.g. Blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) To ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise, and knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.
Assist overall job on ground as well, to include rigging, hoisting, and preparing equipment for installation. All while maintaining site cleanliness and a safe work environment.
Serve as a rescue climber if and when needed.
At times, lift more than 70lbs.
Demonstrate mechanical/technical skills in a safe and efficient manner.
Track hours via TSheets in an honest and accurate manner. Abide by all SkyTower policies and procedures.
Keep safety and 100% tie-off a number ONE priority. Always work towards training and certifications for tower related work.
Capable of fostering team work while maintaining accountability, integrity and a positive attitude.
Working with a team of 2-5 crew members. A Crew Lead is the #1 in command on site. All tower technicians and top hands will report to and take direction from the Crew Lead.
REQUIREMENTS
1 Year in the telecommunications industry
1 Year experience with line & antenna jobs, tiger team, troubleshooting, etc
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, email communication, organization, documentation of sites, etc
Has valid drivers license and can drive a truck and trailer
Has OSHA 10 and/or 30
NWSA Certificate preferred
Experience of working directly with carrier preferred
Leadership and management skills
Organized, pre-planner, punctual, good communication, team leader, works well with everyone
