Mechanical Designer

Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer due to an upcoming team vacancy. This position is responsible for mechanical design layout and detail drawings of automated assembly machines and robotic processing cells. Must have CAD skills: NX OR Solidworks

Specific job duties include:

· Designing & engineering new designs and modifying old designs.

· Developing a bill of materials and purchasing parts.

· Updating design files with engineering changes.

· Following assigned design project procedures in an orderly form (concept, review, design, and detail).

· Interaction and collaboration with Project Managers, Machine Shop, Assembly department, and Sales.

· Qualified candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in Proposal Engineering (concept development and simulations).

Travel: Little to no travel; occasional visits to customers, likely within Michigan.
