Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investment Office Manager provides comprehensive administrative support to the Office of Investments, primarily assisting investment staff who travel globally. The role involves managing all office operations, including scheduling, vendor relations, and reception. Additionally, this position coordinates communications and scheduling with the Board of Directors, maintains meeting minutes, and assists with other project-based tasks. Based in our Boston, MA office, this role demands strong independent judgment, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of tact and diplomacy in handling internal and external relationships.

Please note that this position will be located in Boston, Massachusetts in the Grinnell College Investment Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and reconcile all investment activity, ensuring accurate presentation in downstream systems

Create and maintain both internal and external standardized reporting packages on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis

Project cash flow levels based on known/modeled cash flows ensuring proper implementation of broader institutional cash strategy

Act in a back-up capacity for broader operational team responsibilities

Complete project-based work, including new system onboarding, various data analytics and aggregation of peer/benchmark data

Logistics point of contact for international travel and office management so some non-traditional hours may be required

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree ( GED )

Five years or more of relevant work experience

Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed

Excellent interpersonal versatility and ability to build relationships

Proficiency in computer applications (email, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases)

Strong grammar, composition, and proofreading skills

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision

Excellent communication, customer service skills, and professionalism

Willingness to learn new proficiencies and adapt to evolving technologies

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail is critical

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience working in fast-paced environments with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work effectively within a team and handle interruptions gracefully.
