Opportunity
Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight. Ensures compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. To perform inspection and maintenance on aircraft and associated equipment and facilities for aircraft operated by Kohler Co.’s Corporate Aircraft Department, within the guidelines of the department and administrative employee’s policy manuals.
Specific Responsibilities:
Fulfill/maintain all requirements of the FAA for continuance of the issued airframe and powerplant license.
Perform the inspection, repair, design, fabrication, construction and maintenance of the aircraft, facilities, tooling and equipment where technically qualified.
Maintain aircraft airworthiness, FAA regulations & Airworthiness Directives & Manufacturer requirements and recommendations.
Oversee or complete jobs being accomplished away from home base.
Research, compose, and issue requests for proposals from Maintenance Facilities for forecasted aircraft maintenance or modifications to be performed.
Maintain competency on all of Kohler Co. aircraft.
Manage vendor accounts; to include purchase orders, invoice approvals, and as company liaison between Kohler Co. accounts payable and vendors.
Coordinate and monitor shipping and receiving for maintenance department.
Responsible for the maintenance and revision of required technical publications.
When necessary, prepare equipment required to be shipped for repair
Attend training schools and seminars that relate to the maintenance and operation of the aircraft and department.
Inspect and double inspect work done by others before final acceptance and release for flight.
Perform any other duties related to this position and assigned by the Aviation Maintenance Manager.
Skills/Requirements
Must possess an FAA Issued A&P license for 8 years and have 5 years’ experience on Corporate Type Aircraft similar to what Kohler Co. operates. Must attend schools related to the maintenance of specific aircraft and equipment as deemed necessary by the Aviation Maintenance Manager.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The hourly range for this position is $48.15 – $60.20. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
