Assistant Professor of Construction

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The College of Business, Industry,
Life Science and Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of
Construction Management. This is a full-time, nine-month, position
starting in August of 2025. The Department of Applied Engineering
Technology Management offers three key areas of study: Engineering
Technology Management, Construction Management, and Technical &
Engineering Education. The department is seeking a dynamic Assistant
Professor for the Construction Management. This role also involves
shared teaching responsibilities across various areas and levels. The
salary range for this position is $58,000-$65,000, commensurate with
experience. The University of Wisconsin System has a nationally top

Responsibilities: Undergraduate teaching of courses in, or related to,
construction management, covering a full range from introductory to
capstone levels dependent on applicants qualifications and/or
experience. Assist with the construction lab that provides unique
hands-on experiences in commercial, residential, and infrastructure
construction. Assist in oversight of the program and engage industry
stakeholders through advisory board and professional peer groups.
Additional responsibilities include serving as academic advisor,
assisting with maintaining equipment in laboratories, developing
curricula, maintaining professional contacts, engaging in scholarly
activities, research, continued professional development, and university
and community service. Applicants may be asked to teach courses through
alternative delivery methods and advise relevant student organizations.
Other duties may be assigned by the Department Chair. What Youll Need
to Succeed: Masters degree in Building Construction, Construction
Management, or a related field One year of construction industry
experience. Demonstrated understanding of theories and an ability to
teach using technology and machines/equipment in a hands-on laboratory
or industrial setting. Proven commitment to undergraduate education and
the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a supportive,
collegial environment. Excellent oral and written communication.
