JOB REQUIREMENTS: Norvado is a leading telecommunications cooperative in
Northern Wisconsin, dedicated to providing high-quality broadband
services to our communities. We are currently seeking an experienced and
motivated Fiber Optic Construction Foreman/Supervisor to join our team
in Eagle River, WI, and play a critical role in our fiber optic network
expansion projects. Position Summary: The Fiber Optic Construction
Foreman/Supervisor will oversee and manage the daily operations of fiber
optic construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed safely,
on time, and within budget. This role requires a hands-on leader with
strong technical knowledge in fiber optic construction, the ability to
operate relevant construction equipment, and the capability to
effectively manage and coordinate a construction crew. The position
reports directly to the Director of Engineering and Construction. Key
Responsibilities: – Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a
team of construction workers and subcontractors in the installation and
maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure. Ensure that all team members
adhere to safety protocols and company policies. Provide training,
guidance, and support to the crew to ensure high-quality work and
productivity. – Project Management: Coordinate and manage daily
construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution
of fiber optic construction projects. Monitor project progress and
provide regular updates to the Director of Engineering and Construction
and other stakeholders. Ensure that projects are completed on time,
within scope, and within budget. – Equipment Operation: Operate and
maintain construction equipment commonly used in fiber optic projects,
including but not limited to trenchers, boring machines, plows, and
bucket trucks. Ensure that all equipment is used safely and efficiently,
in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies. –
Quality Control: Inspect work performed by the crew to ensure compliance
with design specifications and quality standards. Address and resolve
any issues or challenges that arise during construction, including
troubleshooting and problem-solving on-site. – Communication and
Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members,
the Director of Engineering and Construction, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure
seamless project execution. Maintain accurate records of daily work
activities, including work logs, progress reports, and material usage. –
Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety
regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct
regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA
and company safety standards. All qualified applicants shall receive

AND QUALIFICATIONS: – Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fiber optic
construction or telecommunications infrastructure. – Proven experience
in a supervisory or leadership role within the construction industry. –
Strong knowledge of fiber optic cable installation techniques,
equipment, and industry standards. – Proficiency in operating and
maintaining fiber optic construction equipment. – Excellent
communication and organizational skills, with the ability to m nage
multiple tasks simultaneously. – Ability to read and interpret
construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. – Valid drivers
license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed. – OSHA
certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
