JOB REQUIREMENTS: Labor & Employment Attorney – R5310 Reporting
Structure The attorney will report to the Corporations General Counsel
but also work very closely with the Corporations Chief Human Resources
Officer (CHRO) and interact directly with Human Resource professionals
responsible for the day-to-day HR operations in the Corporations two
principal operating subsidiaries, Menasha Packaging Company, LLC and
ORBIS Corporation. Responsibilities / Success Factors Provide legal
counsel on labor and employment matters, which may include, but not be
limited to, state and Federal wage and hour compliance and the FLSA,
state and Federal employment discrimination and anti-harassment
statutes, FMLA and disability matters, affirmative action and diversity,
employee discipline and termination, hiring practices, general
union/labor relations, including grievances and arbitrations and
contract negotiations, employee benefits, employment-related agreements
and policy-related issues, and employment-related litigation. Ensure
compliance with all applicable employment-related laws, regulations, and
policies. Assist in the creation, implementation, and refinement of
forms, policies, and procedures. Conduct and manage internal
investigations. Represent the Company before state and Federal
administrative agencies, including the EEOC, the U.S. Department of
Labor Wage and Hour Division, state and local human rights agencies, as
well as in mediations and arbitrations and any claims under local union
grievance procedures. Identify and assess legal risks and
opportunities in the labor and employment area and advise accordingly.
Independently handle legal matters and projects ranging from basic to
complex. Recognize when to elevate matters to the attention of the
General Counsel and/or CHRO. Supervise, manage and evaluate outside
counsel on employment-related matters, including litigation. Educate
clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies and procedures.
Represent Menasha Corporations best interests in assigned matters.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications / Skills Required
Minimum of 5 years of substantive labor and employment experience with a
corporate legal department or a nationally-recognized law firm.
Strong working knowledge of multi-jurisdictional employment law
requirements, and experience with the requirements of Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the
Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, National
Labor Relationships Act, OFCCP regulations, and OSHA. Good
communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including
ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all
levels and areas within the organization, from executive leadership to
first-line supervisors; proactive in providing counsel to clients.
Ability to promote and contribute to a team environment that encourages
and supports inclusion to drive innovation and reach the best solutions
to complex problems. Sound judgment; exceptional integrity; ability
to think critically, communicate complex matters clearly, make
well-reasoned recommendations, and determine who should be kept
informed. High level of emotional intelligence. Self-starter with
good business sense and a sense of urgency, honesty and fairness.
Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a valid
attorneys license. Ability to work under minimal supervision and
learn new substantive areas within and beyond labor and employment law.
