Job Description
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment including trucks, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and generators. Your role will involve a positive interface with service writers, foremen, the parts department, and customers. You will also ensure that all paperwork is updated and submitted upon completion of tasks. Additionally, you will meet the requirements for necessary certifications and handle administrative duties related to your position.
Skills
Troubleshooting and maintenance of trucks
Repairing and troubleshooting Diesel Engines
Diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, and modifying heavy-duty components
Positive interfacing with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers
Keeping paperwork organized and updated
Resposibilities
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks
Repair and troubleshoot on a variety of Diesel Engines
Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty components
Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers
Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
Meet requirements for certifications
Administrative duties as related to position
Requirements
Technical degree or certification a plus
Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment
Moving into a brand new state-of-the-art facility in April.
