Trainer

Part-time Adjunct Faculty

Varies between campuses

Workforce Trainers provide skills-based training and experiences in a
traditional or non-traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment.
The instruction provided will be specific to participants enrolled in
Workforce Education offerings across the career continuum including, but
not limited to career starters, career changes, and those seeking career
advancement. Additionally, local employers frequently engage with the
college to address specific professional development needs on behalf of
their workforce; customized solutions are then designed and delivered in
a variety of modalities to best serve the employees. The demand for
tailored curriculum fluctuates; therefore, the need for a specific
skillset may not be immediate. Waubonsees Workforce Education
department frequently keeps resumes on file based on talent and may
reach out should a request arise that aligns with the applicants area
of expertise.

The qualified trainer will be able to participate in training needs
assessment using various techniques, conduct interactive and engaging
training (at multiple sites around the region) for individuals, groups
and companies using alternative and non-traditional methodologies
appropriate and effective for working with adult learners, working with
the Workforce Education Program Manager to prepare and/or select
education materials, and assist with the development and/or evaluation
of new curricula and program designs.

Waubonsee is looking for trainers in the following concentrations:

– Manufacturing
– Industrial Maintenance
– Safety (i.e. OSHA)
– Professional Development
– Microsoft Suite (in particular Excel, Power BI, Teams)
– IT

Minimum Qualifications

College degree in related field OR industry-recognized credential in
discipline of instruction with 5-10 years work-related experience in
discipline of instruction.

Experience with field training and/or classroom instruction preferred.

Candidates should be comfortable and capable of demonstrating competency
using video conferencing platforms and instructional technologies.
