As a Commercial Card Account Executive , you are a product sales specialist focused on commercial card sales that collectively shapes solutions that will entice prospective companies to grow their commercial card program. Your role is focused on developing, promoting, and maintaining growth initiatives of the commercial card and automated payment solutions. Working directly with clients, you will be responsible for client retention efforts through program optimization, promotion of usage and technology for the commercial card program. Seen as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients to understand their business, optimize commercial card spend, in an effort to grow and expand those relationships. You will manage a portfolio of clients reviewed quarterly, train and educated clients, and conduct demos of the commercial card products. You will manage the client contract, own the rebid and negotiation situations, and serve as an escalation point to ensure customer satisfaction with commercial payments.
The Commercial Card team is responsible for the growth and expanded usage of commercial card solutions as part of our client’s payment strategy. UMB offers a full suite of solutions with an emphasis on virtual payments. As an Account Executive, you will work directly with clients and prospects to develop a deep understanding of their payment needs and work with them to implement solutions to meet those needs. In addition to working with external clients, you will work closely with a diverse set of internal partners from Credit to the Commercial team as a subject expert on the production solutions and industry trends.
How you’ll spend your time:
You will manage new and existing portfolio of clients focused on revenue growth.
You will facilitate the communication and implementation of new products and services, technology; participate in outlining and forecasting the future success of the commercial card program; document the sales and referral activity in the system; set and exceed performance metric goals, as well as set and manage a detailed pipeline to demonstrate progress toward the goal attainment.
You will establish appropriate expectations of new clients being onboarded to ensure sold services are being utilized correctly.
You will design and execute a portfolio action plan to conduct in person visits with clients or phone based meeting and interactions to recommend best practices, as well as review the efficacy of the commercial card and payment programs to support the client’s goals and objectives.

Compensation Range:
Minimum: $51,480.00 – Maximum: $119,200.00
