Tax Clerk – County Treasurer

Creates a favorable impression as a representative of the Sedgwick
County Treasurers Office. Provides courteous, accurate and efficient
customer service. Performs front line clerical work for a wide variety
of financial processes to account for County records and funds.
Processes tax payments and deposits
– Collects and posts personal and real property tax payments into the
tax system.
– Processes cash, debit, credit card and check transactions
Responsible for balancing daily reconciliation
– Balances cash drawer at the end of day
– Submits daily work to Tax Team Supervisor
Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers
– Exhibits quick and efficient service to customers
– Utilizes positive communication techniques during interaction with
customers and co-workers
– Exhibits teamwork behaviors and willingness to assist co-workers
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One year of
cash handling experience in either banking or retail. One year
face-to-face customer service.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of work experience in Customer
Service, administrative services, or a related field. One year of
experience in an accounting or finance related field. Associates degree
in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
