Job Summary
Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, help all departments through our requisition for service program, keep the building and all equipment in good repair, communicate problems, conditions, and information back to the Environmental Director of Facilities and be on call assigned days to provide 24 hour service.
Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
Supports the vision, mission, and philosophy statements of Sacred Heart Hospital. Supports the hospitals goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospitals Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, temperature controls, welding, and hardware troubleshooting is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Valid Driver’s License required.
Work Schedule
7:30am-4:00pm, every third weekend, every third holiday, every third on-call; 76 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$19.00 – $23.50 per hour
