JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Electrical Engineering Department of The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a motivated individual for a Postdoctoral Scholar position, under the supervision of Prof. Rongming Chu. Prof. Chus group currently focuses on innovating Gallium Nitride (GaN) device and integration technology, enabling electronics with extreme capabilities in terms of speed, power handling, and harsh environment survivability. The candidate is expected to co-lead research projects with Prof. Chu, mentoring graduate research.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, materials science or a related field by the start date, with a solid background in semiconductor device design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization. Hands-on experience with nanofabrication is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will work with graduate students on research projects. The candidate will present research results at conferences and publish in technical journals. Additionally, the candidate will prepare reports for relevant sponsored research contracts. This is a term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
