DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for leading a shift in a liquor store by overseeing other clerks and participating in the performance of routine duties. Work includes overseeing and engaging in customer service, ringing sales on a cash register, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, building displays, and cleaning the store. As shift lead, you will also provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies, assign and review work, complete accounting and inventory reports, oversee cash management issues, and resolve customer service and product-related issues. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with repeat customers through routine store operations and seek guidance from a manager or an assistant manager for new or unusual circumstances. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 75 hours biweekly
Work hours vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday – Saturday.
Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or
Six months of retail sales work.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
