DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will handle a range of cleaning responsibilities throughout our facility. This includes deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, offices, nurse stations, and kitchens, as well as public spaces and transportation vehicles. You will perform general cleaning tasks like mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing surfaces, including walls, floors, handrails, mirrors, and fixtures. Additionally, you will clean and sanitize all restrooms, empty waste containers, and restock supplies such as soap and paper products. You will also move furniture as needed for cleaning, assist with snow removal, and clear debris from sidewalks. Maintaining a safe work environment is essential, so you will report any hazards and assist in training new employees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 7.5hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Willing and able to work in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
Willing to work a full-time schedule.
Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing.)
Experience working in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Experience interacting with patients or residents while cleaning in patients/residents rooms or dining room setting.
Experience cleaning bodily fluids or infectious waste.
Experience clearing sidewalks and entrances of snow and debris.
Experience mixing solvents and chemicals.
Experience using manual or electrical cleaning equipment.
Experience as a custodian working in the following environments. (Experience might include working the following setting Activity/recreation room, Bathroom/Shower or bathing room, Cafeteria/dining room setting, Entranceway/lobby/common space, Nursing station, Patient/resident rooms, Pharmacy, or Physical therapy rooms.)
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
