Our Production Operations organization in Valley Forge, PA is seeking a Machining/Mechanical Test Supervisor to lead our team of electrical and mechanical technicians in the assembly of satellite electronics and weapons systems assemblies.
This position will be required to work second shift (3 PM – 12 AM) .
Summary of key duties for this position:
• Grow the Production organization for the Valley Forge site to support a significantly increasing workload.
• Establish and coordinate personnel, equipment, and facility resources needed for day-to-day execution.
• Identify skill gaps, and develop appropriate training plans to ensure talent depth.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with all programs and functional leadership to ensure achievement of all program objectives.
• Drive affordability and commonality initiatives which will reduce test cycle time, generate program reserve, and assure future program awards, including adoption of enterprise-wide best practices.
• Occasional off-shift and weekend support will be required as needed to support production schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
• Technical operations experience in machining and mechanical testing
• Informal or formal leadership experience
• Experience reading engineering drawings and blueprints, and interpreting or translating instructions to maintenance mechanics or technicians
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, ESD, Security
• Ability to effectively communicate, resolve issues and deliver presentations to a diverse set of customers regarding complex technical issues.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-organization relationships.
• The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to organize and lead a group of production personnel.
• Experience using MS Project and SAP to track schedules and formulate execution plans.
• Preferred Greenbelt certified and experience implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership attributes.
• Experience leading the development and implementation of new tools and processes.
• An active Secret or higher security clearance at time of application is highly desired
• Ability to multi-task, outstanding effective interpersonal skills, and a consistent track record of teambuilding

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
