SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring to advance space capabilities supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community customers. Ten miles from the SAIC headquarters, our Chantilly, VA team supports systems development, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration and more.
This position is for an Events Planner and Office Manager for a large, multi-year contract supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. Be part of a highly effective and collaborative front office team responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our staff and our program.
The Events Planner and Office Manager supports a large, highly technical team providing a wide range of event planning, logistics, and administrative duties support SAIC, subcontractor and Government staff across the program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Role Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate and host events of all sizes from 10 to 150 people involving coordination with multiple corporate, external service vendors, and program offices.
· Manage an office space supporting up to 100 staff including seating assignments, facility and IT work orders, snack bar and office supplies.
· Coordinate calendars amongst senior leadership to deconflict key events.
· Proactively engage with the front office team to support each other by cross-training and providing back-up support.
· Identify and promote best practices to improve effectiveness of office processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
· At least 3 years experience in events planning or office management.
· High school and 5 years of relevant experience.
· Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations).
· Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
· Adapt MS Office and Collaboration Tool (e.g., SharePoint or Confluence) skills.
· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with limited direct supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in a related field including Business, Communications, Education, or any STEM field. Aspiring Bachelors degree projected to finish within 2 years.
· IT certifications including CompTIA A, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Microsoft Fundamentals, and any commercial cloud experience.
