Job Title: Billing SpecialistJob Description
Manage e-billing setup and management of matters, timekeepers, and rates. Coordinate and process appeals, maintain budgets, and research balances as required. Establish new clients on selected e-billing platforms. Compile and bill attorney hours and expenses to clients. Proactively monitor potential errors that may result in the rejection of e-bills. Review and edit proformas in response to attorney and legal administrative assistant requests. Handle a high volume of bills per month and execute complex bills in a timely manner, including multiple discounts by matter, split-party billing, preparation of electronic bills with expense backups and approvals. Improve the e-billing functions and research and analyze deductions to provide the best course of action for balances. Understand the flow of money from beginning to end and research invoices to determine any discrepancies.
