Substitute School Bus Drivers

Dorchester County Public Schoolsis currentlyaccepting applications forSubstitute Bus Drivers.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Operate a Dorchester County School Bus;
– Maintain regular paperwork associated with transporting students;
– Perform Pre and Post trip inspections of buses;
– Monitor student while bus is in transit;
– Maintain cleanliness of bus;
– Assist with transportation of bus to garage for service as needed;
– Attend necessary training classes;
– Perform other related duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate;
2. Must be currently certified as a Maryland School Bus Driver;
3. Meet all Motor Vehicle Administration and State Department of Education requirements for school vehicle drivers;
4. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
