Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst with a background in Navy major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program, cybersecurity fundamentals, and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Bring your experience and approach to managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring that information systems meet the necessary security requirements to protect critical data and operations.

Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst Responsibilities Include:

Providing and supporting engineering program/project management activities including program and project risk management such as risk identification, risk analysis, risk handling, risk monitoring and risk reporting.

Assisting Customer in performing planning and engineering analysis for the evolution of assigned projects.

Providing assistance in the definition and maintenance of top-level system architectures and program engineering requirements and shall assist in the translation of those requirements into system concepts and plans from a cybersecurity perspective.

Preparing and documenting security inputs for operational afloat and ashore systems throughout the system’s life cycle. Documentation required or products produced may include System Engineering Plans (for both individual systems and systems of systems), CONOPS, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Platform IT (PIT) Designations.

Identifying and categorizing sensitive information that requires protection to maintain technological advantage, operational security, and program effectiveness.

Performing and documenting requirements analysis, risk analysis, technology assessments or other security-related studies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or ten (10) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to Navy major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program, cybersecurity, and Risk Management Framework (RMF), including the qualifications below:

In addition, ten (10) years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic, platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), cyber, and/or fire control systems program, with five years’ concurrent experience as a team leader performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements and top level designs and/or system architectures for software intensive systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving platform, weapon, combat, C2, cyber situational awareness, and fire control systems for Navy and Joint warfighting capabilities.

Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR THIS LABOR CATEGORY REQUIRES CONCURRENT EXPERIENCE THAT SHALL BE DEMONSTRATED IN THE FOLLOWING SUBCATEGORY.

Computer Systems Engineer Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience working as a Computer Systems Analyst planning ways to use computers to solve scientific and engineering problems. Four of these years must have been full-time experience at the system level in any of the following areas: requirements definition, system design parameters, concepts operation, risk assessment, producibility studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, and post-delivery support.

Minimum IAT Level III/IAM Level II

Perferred Qualifications

Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)
