Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to a ssists the Tile Cutting Department Manager in achieving excellent performance in safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, waste, and cost while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures. and will be based in Cartersville, GA.

Responsibilities:

Understand and Support all SAFE, SMS, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, and Environmental efforts.

Lead the planning, set up, data collection, and data analysis with all technical development trials and new product development in their area.

Be able to effectively communicate the reasons for progress of and results from these development efforts.

Responsible for continuous process improvement in efficiency, safety, quality, cost and environmental aspects in their area.

Manage Critical Parts Lists for Machinery. Order Special Parts

Have mastered all duties included in Process Engineer job description.

Manage capital projects to ensure completion in a timely manner.

Fill in for the Department Manager as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Required:

4 year engineering degree required.

Six Sigma Black Belt or willing to complete Green Belt and Black Belt Training.

Manufacturing experience preferred

Must be able to work on all three shifts as required.

Strong communication (written and oral) and project management skills.

Based upon the experience level of the candidate selected, the position may be filled as a Process Engineer or a Sr. Process Engineer.

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
