JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for the Human Landing System (HLS) under the NASA CPSS contract at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).

• Support and provide input and advice for Program Life-Cycle Review (LCR) and Standing Review Board (SRB) independent assessments by documenting schedule-related Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and the corresponding duration impacts for risks affecting the Program schedule.

• Provide specialized skills and experiences related to schedule development, management, planning, and communication to support programmatic planning, operations, and decision-making for HLS areas of work.

• Provide schedule technical/management leadership in support of the Schedule Functional Lead.

• Establishes schedule goals and plans that meet program objectives.

• Provide expertise to assist with directing and controlling program activities to ensure that technical requirements are met.

• Assist with program negotiations and interface and communicate with senior management.

• Provide expedited on-ramp SME support for rapid response critical reviews and failure investigations.

• Provide support to the HLS Schedule Functional Lead and HLS PP&C management.

• Function as a scheduling expert for the program to plan and lead the assigned schedule activity across HLS Option A, Option B, Appendix P, Human-class Delivery Lander (HDL), formulation and execution activities, and external interfaces, and provide recommendations and guidance to program management.

• Provide technical schedule expertise to ensure the identification, coordination, and integration of program, partner(s), and external interfaces (e.g., agreements with Moon to Mars and/or cross program, test facilities, or any other Government Furnished Property outside the partner contracts) in the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BS/BA (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 20 years of applicable experience (desired) will consider 12 years of experience for interview opportunities

• Experience performing probabilistic schedule risk analysis and schedule health analysis.

• Experience using Milestones Professional and schedule risk tools (Full Monte, Acumen Fuse, etc.) desired.

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

• Extensive experience using commercial schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.

• Experience with implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools.

• Basic understanding of EIA-748 standard earned value management (EVM) principles.

• Experience in preparing and briefing information, to senior management.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other related certifications desirable

• Membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or the College of Performance Management (CPM) a plus.
