0.2-0.9 FTE, 8-36 hrs/week, night shift, 11p-7a, every third weekend, every third holiday
Base pay $21.50/hr. Benefits eligible.
The Emergency Department Paramedic provides emergency medical services in the hospital Emergency Department or while moving a patient between the Emergency Department and another part of the hospital. The Paramedic provides patient evaluation and stabilization as outlined in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.

Responsibilities
Administers medications and performs advanced medical procedures.
Assesses the patients condition and provides emergency medical care as needed.
Displays a positive presence and interacts with all levels of staff, outside vendors, consultants, and physicians.
Initiates IO/IV access.
Operates IV pump.
Operates normal fluids via rapid infuser.
Operates manual defibrillator and Chest Compression device.
Maintains equipment and supplies needed for emergency care.

Qualifications
Education Requirement: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Licensure Requirement: Certified by the State of Ohio as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
Certifications: Current CPR Certification. BLS for healthcare provider required. PALS within 18 months of hire required.
Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated basic computer skills.
Experience: If trained and competencied, can perform intraosseous access or endotracheal intubation in an emergency situation. Demonstrate competence and training in providing the duties set forth above for pediatric patients from birth to 21 years, and selected adults.
