MECHANIC
ABC Student Transportation
Key objective is to ensure fleet safety and daily availability of buses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
– High school or equivalent
– Drug Free
– Drivers license, CDL preferred
– Heavy Duty Vehicle/School Bus maintenance experience: 1 years
– ASE Certification preferred
– Good communication skills
– Computer literate
– Physically fit (bend, stoop, reach, lift, etc.)
– Possess Mechanic tool set
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Must be able to diagnose issues
– Completes repairs of vehicles as required
– Ensures scheduled maintenance in compliance with warranty guidelines
– Monitors driver defects via Zonar system
– Orders and maintains parts inventory
– Maintains vehicle records
– Ensures compliance with State of MI DOT requirements
– Responsible for Garage/Shop cleanliness and equipment
– Maintains service vehicles in excellent working conditions
– Maintains a safe work environment
– Attends ongoing job/industry training
– Job requires a high level of organization
SALARY/COMPENSATION:
– $26 to $30/hour
– Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k)
– Full Time
– Terminal hours of operation – 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
