Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician (Night Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $28.55 .40 shift differential per hour. What you’ll do:
Per our Collective Bargaining Agreement, you are notified that the Company intends to fill the above position. One position is available. The following are the responsibilities of this position.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and install: electrical. pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment.
Determine the root cause of equipment failures and develop preventive measures.
Diagnose machine operation failures and downtime
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
Follows all safety rules and procedures including the Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards, and observes the operations to ensure a safe work environment
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand-tools, and power tools.
Understand and read diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Read and understand model-specific assembly manuals, diagrams, and bill of materials
Perform skilled maintenance activities including welding, brazing, soldering, and the use of a torch
Execute assigned work orders
Conduct Preventive Maintenance as assigned
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Two-year technical degree OR equivalent experience covering electronics, electrical power, and controls, fluid power, MIG welding, HVAC, and basic PLC programming
Certificate by trade school or equivalent work experience related to Industrial or Mechanical Maintenance
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Pinckneyville, IL will be considered.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Position Criteria
Demonstrated and documented proficiency in industrial machine maintenance
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance
Must effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
