TheCompensation Strategic Enablementteam within the Compensation Operations department

collaborates with Branch Development, Human Capital, Finance and other departments across the firm to design branch compensation and expense policies that incentivize our financial advisors and branch teams to act in the best interest of our clients and the Firm. The team closely partners with product teams and Compensation Operations teams to move from strategy to execution, designing and enhancing business processes with simplicity and transparency, while creating capacity for our business areas.

TheStrategy Analyst IIis responsible for recommending branch compensation policies and solutions in support of firm strategies and ensuring successful implementation of those in partnership with product teams.

What Youll Do:

– Partner with firm leaders (business segment leaders and functional leaders) as the branch compensation subject matter expert (SME) to conceptualize and recommendbranch compensation solutions for enabling firm policies and strategies
– Partner with product teams and Compensation Operations teams in the design, development, and implementation of branchcompensation solutions
– Conduct analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights. Includes advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling responsibility
– Frequent verbal and written presentation of analysis, as well as presentation of firm strategic information and analytical insights to senior and executive firm leaders
– Build strong firm-wide awareness and acumen of the impact of firm strategies and business activities on branch compensation programs through education and ongoing projects
– Participate in and frequently lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional or firm-wide business objectives
– Champion the innovation and evolution of existing processes, controls, and technology in order to meet the changing needs and increasing complexity of the organization
– Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions
– Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive-level management across the organization

What Youll Need:

– Bachelors degree with an emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science or analytics (or relevant work experience).
– 4 years of relevant work experience

What Could Set You Apart:

– Working understanding of agile product management
– A proficiency in using Business Intelligence and data extractions tools such as SQL or Power Query
– Experience with or knowledge of financial business processes with incentive compensation experience
– 6 years of relevant work experience
– MBA or Masters degree in relevant field preferred

Functional/Technical Qualifications:

– Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and independently adjust to changing priorities
– Ability to translate business strategy into business requirements and acceptance criteria for product/technology team to implement changes to financial services processes/ incentive compensation processes
– Financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
– Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required including working ability to utilize pivot tables and advanced formulas
– Basic understanding of accounting processes and financial statements
– Ability to summarize complex financial information and concepts and clearly communicate to senior leadership
– Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
– Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the Executive Management level using verbal, written, and presentation skills

Problem Solving:

Issues can arise daily with varying degrees of complexity. The Strategy Analyst II must have the ability to analyze and recommend solutions to divisional and firm-wide leadership for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities in a clear and concise manner. The Strategy Analyst II must have the ability to implement projects of a moderate to high complexity which involve cross-functional teams, and therefore must be able to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors.

Decision Making:

Decisions made based on analysis and recommendations provided through this role generally have moderate to high impact on Firm performance. Decisions are of moderate to high complexity and typically pertain to ad hoc analysis and the generation of strategies and recommendations. Decisions of moderate complexity and moderate impact are made independently by the Strategy Analyst II. More complex and high impact decisions are generally made after consultation with the leader.

Span of Influence:

The Strategy Analyst II works with leaders and executive-level management throughout the Firm, providing analysis and recommendations to directly influence strategic business decisions. While there are no direct supervisory responsibilities, training and/or informally leading other associates on the team as well as associates on project teams from other divisions is expected. To successfully influence decision making, this position requires a deep understanding of how departments/divisions interact with one another and impact firm operations and initiatives.
