Endoscopic Tech – GI Lab PRN Days

We are looking for a top skilled Endoscopic Tech PRN to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall – 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032 Work hours: PRN “as needed”, variable days Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm This position does not include medical benefits

GI Lab Department Highlights:

Here’s What You Need:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

1 year of GI clinical or hospital experience preferred

CNA – Certified Nurse Aide preferred upon hire or

MA – Medical Assistant preferred upon hire or

EMT – Emergency Medical Technician preferred upon hire and

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Detailed oriented and good organizational skills

What You Will Do:

Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures

Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.

Professional Accountability

Communicates with the manager or educator for unit if any delay or problems exist.

Teamwork/Partnership

Demonstrates teamwork and partnership in delivering care in the GI Lab.

Infection Control / Safety Measures

Follows all safety measures/infection control measures throughout duties assigned.

Operates automatic scope washers and understands the principles of high level disinfection.

Age Specific/Developmental Guidelines

Performs duties using developmental considerations for age specific to GI Lab.
