Work hours: Full-time | 40 hrs/ wk Day Shift | 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday | Must be available for 1 week of system training in Arlington, TX

Here’s What You Need:
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required And
Associates Degree Preferred
2 Years medical staff or credentialing experience Required
Other – Certified as a Medical Staff Coordinator Upon Hire Preferred

What You Will Do:
Coordinate and process requests for applications, evaluate eligibility for application receipt according to bylaws. Upon receipt of a complete application, initiate the information collection, verification, and documentation process per established policies and procedures. Enter or update requested privileges in credentialing database. Provide statistical information on the credentialing process by accurately recording start and complete dates. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized database and credentials files for all appointees as assigned. Provide support to new practitioners as needed.
Monitor the reappointment processes from initiation to completion according to established policies and procedures. Ensure timely completion of reappointment and elevation application processes, renewing of privileges, and review by supervisor.
Prepare agendas for committees/department meetings in collaboration with supervisor as well as other staff members who may need to be involved. Make other preparations for the meeting including reserving a room, ordering food, and sending notifications.
Attend meetings, document accurate minutes, and follow up as appropriate. Review and update privilege request forms as needed.
Serves as a resource for hospital staff, physicians and their office staff in relation to Medical Staff activities.
Perform additional duties that are temporary in nature due to business needs including development of credentialing criteria for new privileges, processing requests for additional privileges, responding to both internal and external customers requiring information and special projects.
