With offices in Austin, Lewisville, Houston, San Antonio, and Atlanta, GA we have grown to be a nationally recognized company. Northstar engineers, fabricates, and installs fire sprinkler systems for structures including commercial, government, healthcare, high-rise condominiums, and mixed-use projects.

We joined Shambaugh & Son, L.P., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. and together we perform more than $1B of construction projects per year with over 2,900 employees throughout 50 states from our home office in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Job Summary

Northstar Fire & Protection is looking for an Administrative Assistant in our Houston, Texas office. In this position you will be responsible for a wide range of customer service and administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

• Answer telephone, screen and direct calls

• Provide information to callers or take and relay messages, as needed

• Greet persons entering organization and direct to correct destination

• Deal with queries from the public and customers

• Provide general administrative and clerical support

• Receive and sort mail and deliveries

• Maintain appointment schedule as requested to know who is coming and when

• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Professional phone etiquette

• Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to multi-task

• Be a confident self-starter who works well independently and team player as well
