Primary Objective of Position
Plans, routes, installs and repairs various electrical components on custom fire trucks according to order specifications. Identifies electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

– Rewire and modify wiring
– Run and test communication cables and all electrical wiring
– Perform work under general supervision and handle moderately complex problems.
– Consistently works with an eye toward safety and continuous improvement for self and others
– Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business need

– Mechanically inclined and comfortable using a variety of tools
– Ability to think critically – recognizes connections, translates goals into action, uses strong judgment to make choices in alignment with strategy and company culture/values
– Self-motivated with good communication skills and with good analytical/problem-solving ability
– Fast learner with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
– Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability; thrives in a changing and/or fast-paced environment
– Possesses a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to work outcomes – particularly toward quality and safety

Other Requirements:

– High School diploma or GED
– Experience with installation and troubleshooting of 12VDC, 24VDC 110VAC-240VAC is a plus
