Job Summary:

The QA/QC Regional Manager roles and responsibilities are to establish and implement the Project Quality Management Systems & Processes in line with Strike’s corporate standards. The duties include but are not limited to the following; lead and manage a team of QC Specialists, plan and schedule key QA/QC activities for multiple jobsites concurrently, allocate resources as needed to maintain compliance and client satisfaction, assist field teams as needed, report on the team’s progress on all of their ongoing projects on a weekly basis, audit project turnover books as they are being developed, assist in training our field Quality personnel.

Primary Job Function:

To plan, direct, manage and implement project quality assurance and control activities in compliance with Strike’s, Quality, Quality Control, Regulatory and Client contract requirements.

Supervise and direct on-site quality personnel involved in quality control work including personnel administration (performance management and reviews, overtime, vacations etc.), assignment and supervision of work, provide technical direction and support as well as resolution of problems and or questions.

Prepare and or approve Inspection and Test Plans and quality control procedures including field inspection checklists as required for Strike self-performed work.

 Review Subcontractor quality documentation including quality manuals, site quality plans, inspection and test plans and supporting procedures as applicable.

Prepare site quality activity reports as required.

Attend project meetings, daily construction meetings and client meetings as required.

Oversee suppliers of Geotechnical, Independent Inspection and NDE Services.

Oversee inspection of work in various disciplines as required.

Review results of internal audits and or Client project construction quality audits and ensure development of satisfactory corrective actions and closeout of audit findings.

Liaise with client’s project oversight personnel and regulatory representatives on all project quality matters.

Report any adverse trends related to project quality to operations and corporate quality management.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of quality management experience is required.

Experience managing quality for pipelines and facilities projects.

Must have a working knowledge of ANSI, ASME, and API standards and procedures related to the midstream oil and gas industry.

Experience leading and managing a team is required.

Education/Training:

Bachelor’s degree in quality management or engineering is preferred.

A current quality management certification such as ISO is preferred.

Full knowledge of quality standards, codes and industry practices.

AWS-CWI and/or NACE-2 or higher quality certifications are required.

Competencies:

An up-to-date knowledge of relevant Quality practices and international standards.

Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and organizational skills. 

Thorough and accurate with a high attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Good ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

 Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
