LENAX is looking for Contract Administrators. Successful candidates will have proven contract administrator experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million dollar design and construction projects; will have proficiency in MS Office applications (including Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat Professional), and large-scale construction management software (Primavera, Prolog, Procore). Will have experience in alternative project delivery methods, including Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Build (DB). General duties would include, but not be limited to, assisting with planning of procurement documents, pre-bid/proposal meetings; conforming final contract documents; monitoring all aspects of contract compliance; assisting with development and negotiations of Task Order, cGMP, and change orders. Reviews contractor invoices for contractual compliance and conduct closeout procedures.
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following, minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction, and commercial law is required. Or, equivalent work experience will be considered.
Five to seven (5 – 7) years of experience in the administration of commercial/government contracts is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software, Adobe Acrobat Professional and large-scale construction management type software such as Primavera, Prolog, etc.
Essential Job Duties – The Contract Administrator’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist client with planning of procurements and setting pre-award schedules for contracts including Board actions.
Assist in coordination of Pre-Bid/Proposal meetings to present the Project and RFB/RFP to potential bidder/Proposers.
Prepare drafts of RFP/RFB addenda for client to review, finalize, and distribute to Planholders.
Prepare draft award recommendations and Board Reports.
Conform final contract documents.
Prepare required reports and correspondence.
Attend various meetings, including pre-bid proposal and post-bid proposal debriefings.
Assist in the contract standardization process.
Monitor all aspects of contract compliance.
Assist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and Client.
Assist with Task Order and cGMP preparation.
Assist with change order development and negotiations.
Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance.
Conduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the direction of Client personnel.
Contribute to the advancement of Client’s goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders.
Job Qualifications – To effectively perform the essential functions of the job, candidates must meet the following position specifications:
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction, and commercial law is required. Or, comparable work experience will be considered.
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
Minimum, five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the administration of commercial/government contracts is required.
Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Design Build (DB), preferred.
Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of construction industry standard contract documents, including RFI’s, Submittals, Non-compliances, and Design Bulletins.
Comfortable operating in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
Produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer service attitude.
Experience in a construction office is necessary.
Must be a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities.
Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous positions.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
Hardware/Software Knowledge & Proficiency

May assume other duties as required/needed.
May work overtime.

Work Location:
The position is a full-time, regular position which will report to the designated Los Angeles area project offices. (Reporting location and instructions will be provided upon hire.)
Telework Option:
Telework is available, but approval is at the discretion of the Owner/Client and Department leadership. Note: This is not a fully-remote position. Telework, if afforded, is offered as a benefit, and is not required. For those who are authorized to telework, it is assumed that they have the necessary workstation items available to them at home. A complete workstation is provided, at the project / client-site office, only.
Position Status / Compensation:
This is a full-time, regular position with Lenax Construction Services, Inc. as the employer, and performing consultative services, as an Contract Administrator, at the Owner/Client’s worksite.
The compensation for this position will be posted once the requisition is issued and the position officially “opens.” The assigned rate will be based upon experience, directly applicable experience, industry experience, skills, education, and other certifications, licensure and training.
Salary expectations must be included for all applicants. A list of previous projects will be required, as well, if you have not submitted a project-based resume.
