Overview

We are seeking an engaging and driven Instructional Designer to join Burlington’s Learning & Development team! In this role, you would support our ongoing talent strategy of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent. Your experience in a corporate learning background would include learning design, development and delivery of highly visible programs that are imperative to the continued growth and success of the company.

A Day in the Life:

Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs and recommend/design the best learning solutions for content and learning audiences.

Lead learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development and implementation.

Recommend the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business outcome (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, reference materials, webinar, etc.).

Develop audio, visual, and interactive media aids to support desired business objectives and outcomes.

Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content.

Review existing content for continued relevance and ongoing updates.

Provide exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning deliverables.

Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.

Facilitate in-person and/or virtual instructor-led events as required.

You’ll Come With:

3-5 years demonstrated experience designing learning including classroom, e-learning and related course materials.

An understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning.

Proven ability to effectively prioritize, manage and deliver multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, often changing environment .

Proficiency working in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Canva, and e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Familiarity with learning management systems , Workday Learning experience a plus.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Degree focus in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Education related field preferred.

Retail, hospitality, quick service or other equivalent industry experience a plus!
