Job Description
The IT Manager, Clinical Logistics leads the team supporting Clinical Supply Chain activities beyond the walls of Clinical Trials Division (CTD) facilities. The roles responsibilities are to understand business goals, facilitate development of requirements and objectives for business technology projects, ensure those projects deliver intended objectives, coordinate maintenance of supporting systems, and drive rapid resolution of issues. This role will directly lead a team of full-time and contract colleagues performing and supporting those responsibilities. The role interacts with leaders at multiple business and IT levels. Role is primarily remote with estimated global travel 5-15%.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as liaison between business and IT for the Clinical Logistics domain
Develop and prioritize portfolio of IT initiatives approved by CTD business leadership
Deliver projects in support of business goals including working with resource managers to ensure resources can fulfill demand
Ensure business and IT priorities are clearly and consistently communicated
Ensure support of relevant systems meets business objectives
Collaborate with division IT Leadership Team on business strategy and relevant technologies
Understand business strategy to find opportunities for improved efficiency, revenue generation, and optimized maintenance of application footprints
Identify business technology needs and growth strategies; maintain 3-year roadmap
Ensure that teams are adhering to and supporting Company procedures and policies
Display role model leadership in areas of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience working with business leaders to implement technology initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, computer science or related field. Equivalent work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience building positive relationships and excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
Understanding of digital supply chain in a service operations model
Proven experience navigating a large IT organization with a high number of technologies and technical teams
Proven experience managing a team of technology professionals
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
More than 5 years meaningful experience in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences industry
Advanced business or technology degree from an accredited institution such as an MBA, MS Industrial Engineering, MS Supply Chain, or MS Computer Science
Proven experience with multi-team Agile structures (e.g. DevOps, Scaled Agile Framework)
Proven experience facilitating technology innovation in business process and technical solution delivery
Proven experience contributing to process improvement initiatives using Lean and / or Six Sigma principles and tools
