This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Lead Maintenance Generalist, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Lead Maintenance Generalists are vital to maintaining our Team Members safety through problem-solving and proactive upkeep. Current Pay Range: $25.05 – $34.95
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisors instructions are communicated effectively to the team members and efficiently.
Provide maintenance support with minimal supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
Able to work well without direct supervision and build a strong team
Utilize leadership skills to train and grow new technicians
Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Education and Experience Required:
2 years of industrial maintenance or general maintenance mechanic work experience documented application or resume is required
1 year of leadership experience documented on application or resume is required
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
Frequent overhead work.
Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
