Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Command and Control (C2) Systems Integrator for the Navy Integration Training Environment (NITE) program located in Carlsbad, CA at Camp Pendleton. C2 Systems Integrator works onsite at the Battle Simulation Center (BSC) Camp Pendleton, CA supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center- Corona (NSWC-Corona) in providing LVC training for I MEF Areas of Responsibility and reports directly to the LVC Mission Coordinator. The C2 Systems Integrator supports and assists in the integration of warfighting and simulation systems to support operations and objectives for USMC supported LVC training events. Additionally, the C2 Systems Integrator provide expert knowledge and solutions to C2 systems functionality. The C2 Systems Integrator position is a Systems Administrator position that requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The position requires flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.

Serve as NSWC-Corona’s C2 Systems Integrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events. Communicate with the LVC Mission Coordinator on any technical or operational issues.

Assist the Mission Coordinator (MC) in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program. Advise the MC on the implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, so they can ensure that it meets technical standards and training requirements.

Assist the Mission Coordinator in working with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR

7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR

4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Five years’ experience with military C4I systems’ operational and technical integration and system administration.

Candidate must have the ability to recognize and troubleshoot C4I system problems to assure continued execution of war gaming events.

Experience in Windows system administration.

Knowledge of managing clients in a virtual operating system environment, creating and managing accounts and interactive troubleshooting with users.

Five years’ experience implementing required system upgrades, configuration changes and security patches while maintaining system functionality. Required IT certifications: Windows Operating System; CompTIA Security CE (or equivalent or higher).

Well-developed personal and written communication skills

Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools

Security: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.

MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS)

Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS)

Tactical Control System (TCS)

Global Command and Control (GCCS)

Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF)

Target Handoff System Version 2 (THSv2)

Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)

Administer and troubleshoot voice communications systems, as well as Windows and Linux systems.
