Hyperbaric Clinical Support Representative

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front office area which include, but are not limited to: completion of patient check in/arrival process, telephone support, verification of required items for accurate Meditech registration, arriving patients in Meditech, preparing all documentation prior to patient arrivals and interfacing with clinical staff in providing quality care to patients. The Customer Support Representative will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure timely and smooth office flow, always keeping the needs of the patient first.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
At least 1 year experience in a busy physician office or outpatient setting.
Experience in handling multiple telephone lines required in a stimulating work environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
Excellent clerical/organizational skills required.
Working knowledge of Medictech computerized scheduling and billing system and Windows based PC applications preferred.
Knowledge of outpatient billing and insurance verification is strongly preferred.
Education and Training:
2 years of college or equivalent work experience preferred.
H.S. diploma or GED required.
Medical Terminology required.
License, Certification & Registration:
N/A

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
