Government Banking Relationship Manager

Pay Range: $92,198.00 – $123,077.00
Responsible for municipal business development and managing the relationships with municipal banking customers, including preparing proposals, developing and pricing products and services, and participating in municipal presentations to customers in conjunction with branch managers. Sets rates on all municipal loans and deposits within the guidelines of the Treasury Services Division. Discusses municipal financing options and documentation requirements with municipal customers and their attorneys.
Education and Experience:
4 year degree or related education and experience 5 years of Government Lending experience
3 years of supervisory experience is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication, writing and analytical skills
Strong Management and Leadership skills
Knowledge of government banking laws
Knowledge of Performance Management
Strong negotiator on behalf of the bank
Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:
May require work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Must be well versed in local government laws.
Tasks Performed:
25% Develops new business and manages the relationship for municipal banking customers.
20% Assists in management of the Bank’s local municipal investment portfolio.
15% Interacts with other departments of the Bank to develop and appropriately price municipal products and services.
15% Sets rates on municipal loans and deposits within the division.
10% May provide loan underwriting.
5% Seeks out and accesses alternative funding sources.
5% Train, mentor, develop and oversee assigned staff. Conduct annual reviews.
5% Other duties as assigned.

Stationary 75% of time or greater
Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs
