LAB COORD CORE LAB

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of Laboratory Supervisor/Director,coordinates the operations of the department. Supervises the activities of laboratory staff and processes when assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Minimum:

B.S. degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, or meets requirements of NYSDOH.

LICENSE:

Minimum:

NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

Six years experience in performing the duties of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Preferred:

Previous lab section and coordinator experience.

SKILLS:

Minimum:

Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

Familiarity with JCAHO requirements.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

Computer literacy required.

Preferred:

Experience with Meditech, Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.

Salary Range: $39.48-$44.15
