JOB SUMMARY:Assist in the collection of delinquent loans and negative accounts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Staff support for collection issues. •Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail. Advises and counsels members of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment. Takes appropriate action to bring account to a current status. As necessary, helps members create custom payment plans to repay the Credit Union. •Extensions & Modifications of Loans, Negative Accounts, Delinquent Loans, Repossession, Foreclosures, Bankruptcy, Credit Reporting, Insurance Posting, CECL, Invoices, Posting Payments, Board Packets, ALM Reports, Subsidiary General Ledgers, Small Claims, Charge-offs, Working with Attorneys and Loan Staff, and Assist in other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or management. •Ensure all collection activity is legal and follows established policies. •Appear in court or for foreclosure on behalf of ServU.•Assist with reports for Management •Occasional evening hours as needed •Maintain accurate records •Work with spreadsheets and Access database •Community involvement is a requirement of this position as outlined in the ServU Employee Handbook. •Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Performs related responsibilities as required.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: •Two years of related experience •Computer knowledge (Excel, Word) •Strong communication and writing skills. •Knowledge of collection policies •Knowledge of lending products and policies •Organization and attention to detail •Provide a positive professional image as a representative of the credit union •Valid driver license as travel to court or other branches is required •High level of confidentiality •Ability to work evenings •Timeliness and regularity of attendance are essential to the jobServU FCU is an Affirmative Action Equal Opportunity Employer. Maximum Salary: 22.95
Salary Unit: Yearly
