Job Description
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Process Engineering makes decisions that impact Customer Channels Group(CCG) Distribution and Logistics network and process structure. Success is further achieved through collaboration with team members and business partners. This individual will lead Process Engineers, driving people development, process improvement, and increased awareness of operations. Thermo Fisher is searching for a well-rounded individual who encompasses analytical, communication and the ability to lead. This role reports to the Director, SC Logistics.
Responsibilities:
As part of the Logistics team within CCG, this position will partner with Distribution, Transportation, Finance, IT, Supply Planning, and Engineering. The role is also responsible for deploying new process changes, templates, and cross-functional projects with other groups to realize system or process improvements, etc.
Leadership:
Directly leads SC Process Engineers, providing mentorship, development and support.
Responsible for performance reporting, budget management, strategy contribution, decision-making and communications.
Impact / Success Measures:
Accountable for the continued development and governance of the Distribution process analytics dashboards and reporting.
Continuously strive to achieve balance across key goals and priorities of service, spend and operational efficiency.
Responsible for setting operational objectives and leading successful implementation of process change, maintenance and execution of reporting processes and initiatives across Transportation, Distribution, and end-to-end Supply Chain.
Achieve People success through regular mentorship and developmental initiatives.
Influence and collaborate with key partners across CCG Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and Sales.
Support relevant supply chain projects around enhancing customer experience & improving delivery.
Provide input and recommendation in improving supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve outstanding SC Management practices.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 7 years of relevant industry experience; or 12 years in a relevant industry with leadership experience.
Proficiency in an Enterprise System, such as SAP, JDE, or another major ERP system.
Ability to form cross-functional partnerships across different areas of the organization: commercial, sales, marketing, product development, finance, engineering and manufacturing/distribution.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and react quickly to changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
