SUMMARY
Supports Admissions by providing clerical support focused on gathering prospective student information and communicating academic program requirements. This role provides support to the Admissions Manager in the coordination of services and application materials related to the admission process. Provides coverage for the main desk receptionist.
Essential Job Functions
Serves as front desk receptionist, and oversees the front desk and main lobby, receiving and directing all visitors and callers to the College in a welcoming, professional, accurate and timely manner.
Answers admissions inquiries about academic programs.
Processes admission documents for applicant files, including transcripts and application materials.
Perform data entry into student information system, including tracking of documents and enrollment data.
Serves are key initial contact to applicants and gathers “prospect” information
Complete organizational tasks for Admissions events including information sessions, orientation, registration events and student services programs.
Assists with routine clerical operations within Admissions and Student Services; may assist with special projects and events.
Refers all questions regarding financial aid eligibility to the financial aide office.
Maintains a working knowledge of the computer system and programs used by the admissions staff, including campus Nexus, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office.
Organizes and maintains admissions information.
Performs routine tasks/processes within the campus system.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED, 2 year Associate degree preferred.
Experience in general clerical and/or data entry processing.
Computer and general office equipment knowledge and experience required, with skills in Microsoft Office.
