Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Launcher Program Support organization.

This position can be located in Sunnyvale CA, Cape Canaveral FL or virtual from any US state.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead/support proposal activities including:

Development of the Request for Proposal (RFP) package

Assigning and tracking completion of Labor, Travel, and Material estimates

Auditing estimates for accuracy, completeness, and pricing strategy

Managing scope and artifact changes through disciplined process

Development and maintenance of proposal schedule

Lead/support Fact Finding activities

Support Negotiation activities

Serve as liaison between Program Managers, Pricing Analysts, Estimators, Contract Administrators, Supply Chain, and external partners

Resolve issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies

Maintain excellent communication skills while flowing information both up to leadership and out to the program and proposal teams

Multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in a schedule driven environment

Participate in process improvement activities

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 8 years relevant experience or Masters with 6 years relevant experience

Prior experience working with cross-functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management, Field Operations, etc.)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Current/active DoD Secret clearance is required

US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing or participating in proposals

Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards

Knowledge of government contracts and related documents

Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project management

Salary Range: $95,000 – $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
