National Health Transport offers high quality medical transport in conjunction with some of the areas most advanced physicians and clinical teams. We work closely with hospitals, nursing homes, and private individuals to provide high quality, professional emergency medical care.

The Director of Operations is responsible for directing daily operations including inventory, fleet management, financial management, and compliance. The successful candidate must have knowledge of personnel management and excellent communication skills. EMS management experience required. The Director of Operations position is an in-person role based at our Ft. Lauderdale, FL location. 



Responsibilities:

 

The Director of Operations is responsible for all activities and ensuring successful daily operations.

Spearheads initiative for company expansion and market growth.

Creates strategic decisions based on policy, analysis, and planning.

Takes initiative to develop policies and procedures to create new and/or improve current practices as related to ambulance staffing, stocking, and transportation.

The Director of Operations is expected to be accessible as needed.

Assists with the recruitment, orientation, and retention of new staff.

The Director of Operations must be able to work independently and demonstrate accountability to define goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes.

Individuals should have knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures.

Individuals are required to have a strong commitment and will need to provide outstanding services and have a clear customer focus.

Interpret, apply and explain laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures

Develop and manage standard operating procedures, quality control measures, documentation tracking, and vehicle/supply maintenance programs.

Ensure operational readiness through management of employees.

Assist in and provide training for all employees to ensure proper skills are applied to the care of patients.

Attend and monitor all state and local regulatory meetings.

Continually promote and market the services of NHT to current and potential customers of NHT.

Make fiscally responsible decisions that promote a profitable operation.

Help develop and manage an obtainable budget.

It is essential for the Director of Operations to be flexible, creative, and innovative in adapting the program to changing business needs.

Qualifications:

 

Prior Ambulance/EMS management required

An understanding of healthcare transportation/ambulance contracting

Business development experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers or employees of NHT
