Japanese Bilingual Accounting Specialist
Location: Lexington-Fayette, KY Metropolitan Area
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Working Hours: 8am-5pm

Overview:
A global manufacturing company is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Accounting Specialist. You will be providing support for a variety of accounting functions and collaborating with a senior accountant to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to:
Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, issue checks, and initiate ACH payments and wire transfers.
Accounts Receivable: Issue customer invoices, verify and record customer payments.
Payroll: Collaborate with the payroll service company to process bi-weekly and monthly payroll.
Tax Filing: Assist with providing financial information to the tax service company for various tax filings.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and other required documents for reporting to the Japanese parent company.
Auditing: Assist with providing financial information and preparing documents for financial audits.
HR Support (as needed): Assist the HR team with tasks such as insurance and benefits, and visa renewals for expatriate employees.
Other duties: may be tasked with other accounting or administrative functions as needed.


Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in an office environment, accounting experience preferred but not required.
Fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage etc.) a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
