Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the facility is clean for its patients, staff and visitors.
REPORTS TO: . Facilities Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A high school diploma or GED
· 1-2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
· Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge. Applies clean linen on disinfected patient bed.
· Report any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Housekeeping Supervisor.
· Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
· Use and maintain equipment properly
· Report safety hazards as appropriate.
· Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
