Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production and project requirements

• Analyze and provide feedback to appropriate departments on material status / requirements for fulfilling customer demand.

• Manage delivery of critical component parts and end product delivery with suppliers and contract manufacturing and critical supply partners to meet customer requirements. Detect and manage customer delivery risk, work to resolve constraints, and escalate.

• Escalation of any issues to relevant sourcing analyst.

• Master data management – update and maintain master data for responsible items, MOQ’s, price breaks, safety stocks

• Monitor & reporting KPI targets with actions– delivery on time, confirmation of purchase orders, STR, PDR and inventory turn.

• Invoice processing, resolving blocked invoices & amendments of purchase orders

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/ degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as buyer and related field, with engineering background is an advantage.

• Capable of using Microsoft office tools, including relevant MRP experience, SAP/ ERP is a required skill.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $84,600 – $126,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary Incentive(s) Benefits
