Fairview Range is hiring a Driver for our Transportation Department in Hibbing, MN .

The STS Driver provides safe and convenient transportation services for physically challenged clients and provide daily courier services as advised.

Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. Primarily 8 – hour day shifts with rotating evening/night/weekend/holiday on call.

As a Driver, you are responsible for:

Driving and escorting clients between residence and approved destination.

Demonstrating knowledge of Special Transportation Service guidelines and requirements and complete job responsibilities accordingly.

Maintaining safety and client comfort when escorting and/or transporting clients. Maintaining courteous and effective communication with clients to promote customer services and satisfaction within the program.

Demonstrating knowledge of safety-related work procedures and follow all accurate procedures in the event of accident or injury during transport of client. Reporting all safety related issues to supervisor promptly.

Collecting and distributing interdepartmental correspondence, supplies, including pharmaceuticals and other items to appropriate destinations as advised.

Attending departmental meetings, in-services, and other educational programs as advised.

Required Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Must be 21 years of age or older on the date of hire.

Must be physically capable of performing requirements of position.

Ability to obtain necessary passenger assistance, defensive driving and first aid training.

Must possess a valid Minnesota Driver’s License with excellent driving record. Special Transportation Service qualified.
